Nostalgia, texture, warmth and ease - we are obsessed with the new Bangalow home by Louise Walsh and her team.
Our Charlie sofa in green velvet looks sophisticated and relaxed in this stunning living space.
There aren't many design projects that instantly transport you back to a place, time or memory. But Louise Walsh's new Bangalow home in northern NSW does just that. This project oozes family holiday - warm nights around the kitchen table, the blasting sound of cicadas, sandy footsteps on the verandah, scrabble in the living room, waking up to filtered morning light and hot cross buns.
Louise Walsh and her team have put together a home that sings texture and warmth. Sophisticated, with a touch of relaxed, bohemian cool, we are so into it.
Our Charlie sofa sits in the middle of this home, covered in a luxurious but super hardy green velvet. In a dramatic 2800mm length, it's the perfect spot to stretch out with a book. Velvet has the ability to look 'posh' and 'stuffy' but the way Louise Walsh's team have paired the velvet with rich oak, fresh white and natural fibres and handmade textiles, make the whole scene much more relaxed. Bravo team.
