Introducing the newest member to the Staple&Co family: Tatami.
Tatami was designed by Tom Fereday exclusively for Project 82, and couldn't be a better fit. Inspired by the low seating style found across Japan, the Tatami is honest in design and materiality. Made from solid American ash and upholstered in natural fabric it avoids all metal fittings and components. Created for comfort, the Tatami sofa has an integrated webbed timber frame topped with soft feather lined cushions. This stunning piece nestles effortlessly into the Staple&Co collection, its gentle, easy beauty bringing a fresh perspective on modern living.
In this installation of 'The Apartment' - a series we have been running where we style an space up like a home - we focus on Tatami. We chose pieces that echo the same commitment to honest materiality, that have simple lines, thoughtful details and versatile upholstery in a calming palette.
